Capital Locums is an agency dedicated to pharmacy. We have no interests other than pharmacy placements.
The agency was established in 1985, and has grown steadily over the years by providing a personal service to all our clients.
The Managing Director of the company is Richard Cravitz who runs the office with the help of his experienced staff comprising: Mrs Diana Adams, Mrs Kathy Coughlin, Mrs Karen Bulkan and Mrs Lisa Woolf.
Ruth and Jeffrey Glassman retired as directors of the company at the end of 2015, and Mrs Suzanne Holmes retired after many years loyal service, due to ill health.
We deal with the major multiples, supermarket pharmacies and many independent pharmacies,
nationwide. For Pharmacists and Technicians, we aim to find long or short-term positions as required.
We do not claim to offer exaggerated rates of pay that no proprietor will meet.
We negotiate a realistic hourly rate for locums. This ensures a continual stream of vacancies on offer. Reasonable travel expenses are generally offered, and some positions come with an allowance for accommodation if extensive journeys are involved.
We try to ensure that all pharmacies to which we send locums are covered for professional indemnity.
At the present time, due to changing
employment law regulations, Health Authority and NHS Trust policies, we regret we are unable to offer new hospital placements.
Experienced pharmacists are available to offer advice on pharmacy matters, and we can also refer you to experts for accountancy and legal advice.
For Employers, we endeavor to find the best available locum for each vacancy, and we welcome your comments on our service, and feedback on our locums.
We keep our overheads as low as possible and we think you will find our charges very competitive.
References are obtained for all our locums and their registration is verified with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain. We also check their work status, CRB status and their professional indemnity.
It is advisable to notify us with your requirements as early as possible during our office hours which are 8am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, with an emergency phone service, an answer machine and fax operating out of hours.
